Off the gas main, on your own terms
Mains gas does not reach most of the hinterland, so Moorooduc households generally run bottled LPG, electric storage or a heat pump. LPG works and the appliances are the same, but the running cost per litre of hot water is noticeably higher than mains gas, and bottles have to be monitored and refilled.
That makes the heat pump case unusually strong out here. There is space on every block, airflow is never a problem, and neighbours are far enough away that compressor noise is irrelevant. Repair it or replace it

Does tank water affect my hot water system?
It can. Pump pressure and flow need to suit the system, particularly for continuous flow units that rely on a minimum flow to fire. Mention your water supply when you request a quote.
Is a heat pump noisy on a quiet rural block?
It makes a low hum like a quiet air conditioner. On a rural block with distance to spare, it is a non-issue.
Will frost affect performance?
Hinterland mornings get colder than the coast, but modern units are designed for it and carry a backup element. Running costs stay well below full-rate electric.
