About this service
Updated October 2026
Mornington Hot Water is a local referral service for the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. It does one thing: when your hot water fails or needs replacing, it puts you in touch with a licensed local hot water plumber who covers your suburb.
How it works
You send the quote form with your suburb and a line about what is happening. Your details go to a licensed plumber who services your area, and they call you back with a price. Quotes are free, there is no obligation, and you deal with the plumber directly from there.
Why it exists
Hot water never fails at a convenient time, and finding a plumber at short notice on the Peninsula can mean ringing around while the household lines up for a cold shower. It is worse again if the house is a weekender and you have no idea who works locally. This site shortens that. The pages here explain how the system types compare, what repairs and replacements should roughly cost, and what the rebates mean, so you can judge the quote you get.
The fine print, plainly
Mornington Hot Water is not a plumbing business and does not carry out plumbing, gasfitting or electrical work. In Victoria, hot water installation must be done by a plumber licensed or registered with the Victorian Building Authority, gas work by a plumber with the relevant gasfitting endorsement, and electrical connections by a licensed electrician. For plumbing work valued over $750 the plumber issues you a compliance certificate. Every job referred through this site goes to a licensed tradesperson. Price ranges published here are a guide based on typical Victorian rates, and the plumber's own quote is the price that counts.
