How it works
Sixty seconds on the form, no account, no call centre.
We pass it straight to a licensed hot water plumber who works your suburb.
Free quote, no obligation. Same-day replacement is realistic for common sizes.
Repair or replace
The plain rule: if the tank itself is leaking, the system is finished and it is time to replace it. If the fault is a valve, element, thermostat or pilot light, a repair is usually the cheaper path. Most storage systems last 8 to 12 years, and on the Peninsula, tanks mounted outside near the water often sit at the shorter end of that. A plumber can tell you quickly which side of the line yours is on. The cost guide covers what each option typically costs in 2026.
Every system type
The licensed plumbers we work with install and repair electric storage, gas storage, continuous flow, heat pump and solar systems, from Mornington townhouses to hinterland acreage at Red Hill and holiday houses at Sorrento. Mains gas reaches much of the bay-side strip but not all of the hinterland, where bottled LPG, electric and heat pump systems do the work, so the plumber confirms what your address can actually run. If you are replacing an old electric tank, ask about a heat pump: Victorian and federal incentives can take a serious amount off the installed price, and running costs are a fraction of the old tank.
The holiday-house problem
A large share of Peninsula houses sit empty for weeks at a time, and hot water systems do not improve with idleness. A tank that has not been drawn on in two months, with a corroding anode and a weeping relief valve, picks the first night of your holiday to fail. If you own a second home here, the sensible move is a check in the quiet months rather than a call-out in January, when every plumber on the Peninsula is booked. If you just need hot water back today, a like-for-like swap is usually the quickest path.
